Why this store exists

In August 2024, at 50, I was diagnosed with Level 1 autism and ADHD. It put a name on something I had carried my whole life without being able to explain it: I have never been able to start a conversation with someone I do not know. Not at school, not at work, not at a party, not with someone I actually wanted to know. The words were there. The opening was not.

So I stopped trying to open with words. I put the sentence on my chest and let it speak first.

The first time I wore one of these tees, a stranger walked up and commented on the phrase. Then it happened again. People I had never met were starting conversations with me, and I could hold them, because the hardest part was already over.

That is the whole idea. Tee Talks Hub is not here to sell you a t-shirt. It is here to hand you an opening line you never have to say out loud.

Purpose

To give quiet people a way in. If you have ever stood at the edge of a room waiting for someone else to go first, this store was built for you. And if you are the one who always goes first, wear one anyway. You will be making it easier for somebody who cannot.

What I care about

• The phrase comes first. Every tee has to earn a reaction from a stranger across a room. A phrase that cannot do that does not make it into the catalog.
• Everyone is invited. Autistic, introverted, ADHD, loud, funny, ruled by a dog, or just back from somewhere good. Five collections, one idea.
• Comfortable enough to reach for again. A shirt that stays in the drawer starts no conversations.

Vision

I want Tee Talks Hub to be what people reach for when they want to be approachable without having to perform. A wardrobe that talks for you on the days you would rather not.
